For more than 30 years, I have cared for adult and geriatric patients in emergency medicine, interventional cardiology, and outpatient cardiovascular care. These experiences have strengthened my clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to compassionate, evidence-based patient care.

Why Primary Care?

After decades of caring for patients during medical crises, I developed an even greater appreciation for the impact of prevention and long-term relationships in healthcare. I am pursuing advanced practice in primary care because I want to help patients manage chronic disease, improve overall health, and prevent illness before it becomes an emergency.

Looking Ahead

As an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner candidate at Wilkes University, I am seeking a primary care clinical preceptorship to further develop my diagnostic reasoning, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills while contributing positively to a collaborative healthcare team.

Beyond Nursing

Outside of healthcare, I have spent many years training horses, teaching riding lessons, and later breeding and training English Golden Retrievers. I also founded a nonprofit organization that trained service dogs for individuals with disabilities, combining my interests in education, animal behavior, and community service.

Whether I'm caring for patients, mentoring students, teaching new riders, or helping families raise and train their dogs, I find the greatest fulfillment in educating others, building confidence, and helping both people and animals reach their full potential.
